Track Name: Meant to Be
If you could know your life would be
Happy after all,
Would you have spent so much of your time trying to stop my fall
and would you
hold me,
just like
you did every night I cried

Save me
Tell me what I am becoming is
What I'm meant to be.

I never knew that I could wear your skin
I never knew that I could plug you in
I never knew that the line separating everything I want from me
Could be so thin

Stars falling down
the Beggar takes the crown
the court bows and kneels
the queen comes to heel
ah-ah ah-ah-ah..

If you could read the omens hanging on the city gates
You'd see the Worm devour the bird
and you would understand
what is real
Strangely
Oddly
Can be too much to believe

Legend
Fiction
Turn around, they're waiting at the door

I never knew that I could wear your skin
I never knew that I could plug you in
I never knew that the line separating everything I want from me
could be
so thin (na na na na na na)

Stars falling down
the Beggar takes the crown
the court bows and kneels
the queen comes to heel
ah-ah ah-ah-ah the queen comes to heel, ah-ah ah-ah-ah
the queen comes
the queen comes
the queen comes
the queen comes to heel
ah-ah ah-ah-ah ah ah-ah-ah

If you could know
what you delivered up to me
If you could know
How you have changed everything
if you could know
the harvest I would reap, would you still say
I'm what I'm meant to be?

I hear the stars are falling down
and now the Beggar's coming 'round
I hear the court is tripping over itself to come to heel
They say they want to make a deal--
the kingdom on a platter
and one by one they scatter
Her Highness should remember me now
I'm calling my favors in

And the people shout
ah-ah ah-ah-ah
And the people sing
ah ah-ah-ah
And the city drowns
ah-ah ah-ah-ah
And the city swims
Track Name: Wonderland
I've escaped from the place we dare not speak of
I've erased all the evidence
And no matter what passes between us, remember my dear
This is in confidence.

[oooooohs, and choral chanting something indiscernible but which sounds sort of like "If you dream it.."]

Wonderland hasn't been peaceful since Oz declared war
All the Wonderian people are shrieking for blood
in a clear case of craven assault without cause,
their Mock Turtle lies slain by the soldiers of Oz

Direct orders from Emerald City
were soon intercepted by the J-j-jabba-j-j-jabberw-w-w-ock
And with one violation of airspace, the Chesire Command
Leveled Lollipop

TWEEDLEDEE: This is war correspondent Tweedledee,
TWEEDLEDUM: and Tweedledum
TWEEDLEDEE: Reporting live from Munchkinland. It has been razed to the ground.
TWEEDLEDUM: Civilian casualties are high.

Wonderland hasn't been peaceful since Oz declared war
All the Wonderian people are shrieking for blood
in a clear case of craven assault without cause,
their Mock Turtle lies slain by the soldiers of Oz

Blinded by lust to see the land of Oz conquered
you unleashed the worst kind of Wonderland monsters
and now that my mayhem has serviced your rage
do you really think I'll return
to my cage?

I've escaped from
I've escaped from
I've escaped from the place we dare not speak of!

Track Name: Medicine Man
(ashes ashes we all fall)
(ashes ashes ashes we all fall down)

We were strollin' by a field of purple posies
and we stopped to pick ourselves a bouquet
Pockets bulging, we were sharin' stories
when we saw someone comin' our way..

Look out when you see the Medicine Man
You better run run as fast as you can
He's gonna start drilling a hole in your head
He's gonna suck down your dreams till you're dead

Our chance
To live
He takes
He gives
It's time to weep
It's time to sleep
et jamais réveiller
et jamais réveiller
(we all fall down)

If you watch him dancing 'round a ring o' roses
you would hardly think he could ever
be bad
Birds are silent as he passes by them
They know he's the Medicine Man

He's been here longer than human sin
He likes the smell of fear on your skin
at night he's waiting under your bed
Listening to the heart in your chest

(chorus)

When the wind is blowing, you can hear us crying
'cause we know our ashes will never be found
But when it's your turn, he will choose among us
and he'll breathe us in
while he decants you out..
Track Name: The Crime
Turn off the stars
Turn off every one
I am the moon
Eclipsing the sun

And every town begins to quake
A new era has a toll to take
and I've found (found found..)
the root of all your systems now

Don't mind me dear, I'm just passing through
Your brain is yours but it's mine too
(let's share it)
Witness the apotheosis of the ghost in the machine
Pay attention and you'll hear it stirring: 3... 2... [boom]

Give me the lost
Give me the wandering
I'll let them feel
the touch of the Stream

Your body moves but you don't understand
It's like an alien in your hand
And it wants....
...to dance.

(chorus)

I can give you all the peace in the world
Get away from all the thoughts corroding your mind
I've a vision of a world in
total unquestioned agreement
I can justify your prayers
and I can justify your nightmares

(chorus)

I can give you all the peace in the world
(all the peace in the world)
Get away from all the thoughts corroding your mind
(nothing worse than a corroded mind)
I can give you all the peace in the world

I can give it to you.
Track Name: Fantasy Moon
On the beaches of our fantasy moon, we are
equal under the eyes of our god
and all the reasons why we shouldn't be together can
wash out with the sea
and our flaws

give me
one chance
to see this dream of ours through
if earth could
be kind
we wouldn't need to kiss on the moon

Eyes
look your last
and cut us out in little stars
so we can leave the ground together

See
it's only just over the sun
so hold my hand, dear
before our fingers burn away

I am nothing more than steel and bone
til there comes a day
there comes a way
and my love, I will wait until the sea comes crashing in
and drowns the lives that made us a sin

believe me
I vow
to see this dream of ours through
I swear to you
I swear to you
We'll be together again on the moon

It was not so long ago
we saw cathedrals in the snow
hear the bells ringing out
they're calling us home

It was not so long ago
we wrote our legend in the snow
hear the bells ringing out
they're calling us home

Track Name: End of the World
If you walk through the cities, the fields and the towns
You'll see all the fences are crumbling around
the walls of the castles are tumbling down
and people say This is the end of the world
People say this is the end
of the world

Go on, try every door
you will find that the lock has decayed
Don't cry anymore for the barriers Humanity made
just play
with these buckets of sand,
and forget all that they used to be
(Diamonds and misery)

Hey, just play
with these buckets of sand
and forget all that they used to be

The borders are broken and all of the warriors say
"Nonny na nonny na na na
If you walk through the cities
the fields and the towns
You'll see all the fences are crumbling around
the walls of the castles are tumbling down
and people say this is the
end of the world
people say this is the end of the world"

[chorus]
Track Name: The Ceiling
Caution...Hazard...Warning....Do Not Proceed...
Caution...Hazard...Warning....Do Not Proceed..Do Not Proceed
Caution...Hazard...Warning....Do Not Proceed...

This is the truest story you will ever hear, so drink up your tea and listen to me.
Once upon a time not so long ago, a building went insane.

The rafters
the ceiling
they had the queerest feeling
bewildered
the hallway
said, "I'm really not myself today"

Watch how I tranquilize
the plaster of this high-rise
You better take notes
the kitchen isn't well.

Break out the AEDs
that door's about to seize
and get the phone 'cause it's connected
to a deviant bell

Johnny Anderson decided he would play
all alone in the old elevator
Johnny Anderson decided he would push
all the buttons in the old elevator, uh oh

Well you can call it fate
or you can call it plain bad luck
but that building had had enough
and as the very walls began to lose their grip,
little Johhny
started screaming

He started screaming

He started screaming

Soon the hotel staff rang up the fire house
"Hello, we have a situation and we need you now!
All the water pipes have started laughing nonstop,
the building's gone insane."

The rafters
the ceiling
they had the queerest feeling
bewildered
the hallway
said, "I'm really not myself today"

(Say what?)
The building is going insane
(I heard a rumor, it's)
It's going insane
(What a waste)
The building is going insane
(Such a shame)
The building is going insane

With a scarlet squeal, the fire engine arrived
and Mrs. Anderson asked if her son was alive
One by one they crawled into the shaft

They started screaming.

They started screaming.

They started screaming.

The rafters
the ceiling
they had the queerest feeling
bewildered
the hallway
said, "I'm really not myself today"

The rafters
the ceiling
they had the queerest feeling
bewildered
the hallway
said, "I'm really not myself today"

I have to say I'm really not myself today..
I have to say I'm really not myself today..

The rafters
the ceiling
they had the queerest feeling
bewildered
the hallway
said, "I'm really not myself today"

For the rest of his life, John Anderson demonstrated a pathological fear of elevators. As an adult, he could not be employed in offices located higher than the fifth floor. He died at the age of eighty-two, in a bizarre stairway accident.
